Verbal Breakdown

Not sure what's quite wrong with my wireless internet at this time, but i'll try to get it fixed for the snowstorm breakdown late tonight. I will have the ordinary breakdown if it is fixed. It will be on by 11pm.

Meanwhile, I'll give you the verbal breakdown.

Winter storm warning for southern Indiana and Kentucky within 30 miles of the river. Right now it looks live 4-7 right near the river and in Kentucky (again, within 30 miles of the river). In southern Indiana, it looks like 7-12 inches of snow.

There is of course disagreement and will try to get graphics tonight! Sorry!

Here is the way it looks like it will play out in southern Indiana:

  1. Snow begins around 3am.
  2. Continues to fall until afternoon, then tapers off.
  3. 2-4 inches of snow in this time period.
  4. Brief lull, 5-9pm.
  5. Another huge batch, heavy snow.
  6. Ends by 1pm Saturday.
  7. 5-8 inches with this batch, total 7-12 inches.

For northcentral Kentucky, the same, except for more sleet accumulations. So the snow there will be held to about 2-4 first batch, and 2-3 for the next batch!

Update coming tonight!

70% chance of at least 4 inches of snow, 10% of at least 8 according to the HPC

No time to post this morning, but i'll have the breakdown this evening!
There is a winter storm watch for the above shaded counties from 3am friday until 7am saturday.
Latest guess is that there should be 2-4 inches in Louisville, and 4-6, iso. higher amounts in southern Indiana, but this is sure to change after i get all the info for tonight's breakdown!

Big Daddy?

Potential snowstorm in the making, with winter storm watches to our west for now! (sorry, John Belski, i took this one off your blog).

The storm is likely to bring us two batches of snow, which could accumulate in large amounts. There could be 4 inches Friday, and maybe another 4 on Friday night into Saturday morning!

NO prediction from me yet, but check back tomorrow for more!
