First off, John Belski put a great post this evening on his blog about the so called "fall tornado season" that we sometimes have around here. I would encourage that you would read it. You can click on the "Belski's Blog" link on the side of my blog to view his blog...
Meanwhile, after some storms and beneficial rain last night, the weather cleared up nicely this afternoon. Wednesday-Friday will be beautiful with temps between 64-69 and lows in the mid to upper 40s. Some places could get to the lower 40s tonight and tomorrow night.
Saturday-Tuesday will feature slightly warmer temps, with lows still very cool in the upper 40s/lower 50s, but highs rising into the 69-74 degree range.

40% chance of rain relief tonight and tomorrow morning...
We have this chance of rain and maybe a storm tonight. The SPC has us in a 5% chance of severe but I'm not sure why they're thinking this. I think rain relief is the big thing with this storm...not severe. Tomorrow morning, showers will linger, but it will begin clearing in the late afternoon with highs around 70.
After this, the weather will be dry, clear, and quite fall like with temperatures in the low to mid 60s Wednesday and Thursday, upper 60s to lower 70s Friday-Sunday, and lower-mid 70s next Monday and Tuesday. The next chance of rain is too far out to depict as of now...
Tropics: Subtropical Storm Laura has developed and is heading towards Greenland/UK.

Tomorrow will be the last day in the lower 80s...at least for a while, that is. It will remain dry tomorrow afternoon...
Late tomorrow night, and most likely Tuesday morning, a 40% chance of showers and MAYBE a storm is forecast. This will bring in the first cool weather of the season!
Wednesday-Friday will be very dry and fall like with temps in the mid to upper 60s. This weather will continue into next weekend, with warming temps that could reach the lower 70s. Some places will stay in the upper 60s, however.
Hurricane Kyle (75mph) is hitting Nova Scotia at this time with minor impacts on Maine. An interesting system could be developing in the Atlantic as well...stay tuned...

The weather remains calm...
Today-Monday will be dry, but at times overcast, with highs in the lower 80s.
Tuesday will bring a slight 30% chance of showers, with temps dropping into the middle 70s.
Wednesday-Saturday will be very fall like with dry weather and temperatures in the mid to upper 60s!!!
Tropical Kyle is racing through the Atlantic. It will affect the east coast and should directly hit land as a Category 1 hurricane. It is forecast to have 80mph winds when it hits land. Estimated place of landfall is just off the east coast of Maine (NHC).

I'm getting ready to drive!!!
I earned my learner's permit yesterday, and can get my offical operator's licence on March 21, 2009.
Meanwhile, the weather will remain sunny and dry through Monday with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
Tuesday will feature a slight chance of showers, but the big deal will be the fact that temps will cool into the 70-75 degree range.
These cooler temperatures should prevail Wednesday-Thursday as well. The NWS says that temps Thursday morning could be as low as the upper 30s!!! Get ready for fall!!!

A few things to catch up on...
I was on the front row of the 17th hole on Sunday as the US claimed the Ryder Cup about 20 yards from us. We didn't do anything special to get to that spot, we simply guessed where the Ryder Cup would end and got there early. By the time the groups came through, there were 10,000 people standing around the hole!!! That was a great experience, and a great 16th birthday present (yesterday was my birthday)!!!
After this Ryder Cup euphoria, I actually played golf yesterday...and what a beautiful day it was...
Weatherwise, it should be dry through Sunday with temps in the lower to mid 80s.
Monday and Tuesday, a cool front will come through, but I'm not sure if there will be rain with it yet, so for now I will say it will remain dry...
