Tornadoes a Threat?

Some rain and storms, NOT severe, is expected overnight, though some gusty winds are possible in storms.

Tomorrow afternoon another nice one, with temps rising towards 70 again.

All looks good through Thursday afternoon, with highs in the middle to upper 70's Thursday, nearing 80 in some spots. It will be VERY windy as well.

The interesting part of the forecast is Thursday night and Friday.

Thursday night could be a potential for severe weather mainly in the form of damaging winds. Some tornadoes could be possible, along with large hail.

However, Marc Weinberg says that climatologically speaking, the storm system will slow down. That could mean that Friday could be the big deal and not as much Thursday for us! Friday the storms would not produce as many tornadoes, but still be severe with damaging winds.

By the way, accuweather dropped the threat of a "rival 1974" outbreak. It will still be a considerable outbreak, but probably west of us on Thursday.

SPC has a moderate risk of severe storms from Mississippi up through Paducah and Evansville with us in a slight risk on Thursday.

Also, a slight risk on Friday for us.

I don't feel confident on posting the SPC maps yet, because of storm uncertainty, but i will surely post them tomorrow!
