Here's the scoop. We are under a tornado watch until 12am!
VERY MOIST BUOYANT AIRMASS WILL SPREAD NORTHWARD AHEAD OF THIS FRONTAL SYSTEM WHICH WILL CREATE A FAVORABLE ENVIRONMENT FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS BY MID-LATE AFTERNOON...INITIALLY ACROSS WI/IL/SERN MO. THIS ACTIVITY WILL QUICKLY SPREAD DOWNSTREAM INTO MI/IND/WRN KY/WRN TN THIS EVENING. STORM ROTATION IS LIKELY WITH MANY STORMS AND TORNADOES ARE POSSIBLE...A FEW OF WHICH MAY BE STRONG AND LONG-LIVED. ADDITIONALLY...VERY DAMAGING WINDS MAY ACCOMPANY FAST MOVING THUNDERSTORMS...ESPECIALLY AS THEY ORGANIZE INTO LONGER LINE SEGMENTS.
Watch out and keep checking the blog!
