February 2nd, 2009: 5pm
The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued Winter Weather Advisory for north central Kentucky and southern Indiana from 4am-7pm Tuesday. 1-3 inches of snow is possible over the advisory area.
Yesterday I called for under 1" of snow, so why has this changed? It's because the other storm moved far enough to the east (further than I expected), which is allowing a clipper system to move into our area, instead of further north. So 1-3 inches can be expected. I think 3 inch amounts are a little aggressive, but a few areas will see around 3 inches.
Nice for the rest of the week until rain comes in for the weekend...
Good luck to the #7 Cardinals as they take on #1 Connecticut tonight in Freedom Hall (7pm, ESPN).
