Here is the current track of Hurricane Ike...

The NHC says the storm will hit Texas as a category 3 with 115mph winds. The storm currently has 75mph winds. Notice that the track of the storm could take it towards our area after it hits land...

Meanwhile, enjoy our weather tomorrow and Thursday as it will be nice with temps around or just above 80.

However, late Thursday night through Friday, a slow moving cool front will move towards our area. This will bring us a good 60% chance of rain over this period. We could have some one inch totals on these days. The temperatures will be held down to the mid 70s during this period.

After a cloudy Saturday with lingering showers and highs in the upper 70s, the remnants of Hurricane Ike could head towards our area. It is very early to tell, but Sunday-Tuesday morning could bring some very substancial rain to the area. Temps will be held in the mid 70s during this period as well. Stay tuned for updates on the track of Ike...
